Though I have been out and about a little since I've been back here, unfortunately I haven't taken too many photos yet. This is one from yesterday when I met Lorri at Russel Square. We had a coffee in the park (which was full of people laying down flowers marking the one year anniversary of the bombings) and then we went to Goodenough college for her to show me where she's been living in the last few months. We had a nice lunch at a pub in nearby Holborn, and planned what we wanted to get up to in the next two months in terms of theatre trips amongst other things (that is, when we're both not working on our dissertations!). Was great to catch up with her again and get all the gossip, I had really missed her! The rest of the week was great as well. I met my supervisor the day before and managed to get a head start on my thesis (and sneaked in a tour of the British Library and saw a really cool newspaper exhibition there while I was at it), before meeting clare, an old maltese friend of mine for lunch. I have also to some extent succombed to the World Cup Fever (about time I suppose) and watched most of the Italy-Germany game at the beginning of the week as well as the last part of the Portugal-France match. Along with millions of others, I too will be watching the world cup final tonight (we're heading down to the Student bar). Can't say I'm really bothered as to who wins and that has it's positive and negative aspects to it. There is no chance I will leave bitterly disappointed at 'my' team having lost, though I'm guessing it isn't half as much fun to watch a match unless you're really supporting one particular team. Should be a nice evening nonetheless. And before that, I must now get on with transcribing the interviews I neglected to do last night because I was watching Kill Bill 1 & 2. Have a pleasant day all, and enjoy the final!
